Transition Woodbridge’s new Local Food & Drink Guide 2026 features 90 wonderful producers: use the listings to look for specific foods or the map to find your nearest businesses. From staples like fruit, vegetables and bread to treats for special occasions, we hope you’ll be inspired to incorporate local produce into your regular shopping.
Supporting these, mostly small, businesses not only strengthens the regional economy but offers environmental benefits, too. Locally produced goods often require less protective packaging, fewer transport miles, and are frequently fresher and more seasonal.
The Guide also details shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs in Woodbridge and Melton which sell or serve local produce, information about reducing household food waste, details of farmers’ markets and support for those struggling to afford food for themselves and their families.
You’ll find free-to-take hard copies of the leaflet in local cafés, shops and community spaces, and a digital copy on our Local Food & Drink Project page. If you’re unable to track one down or would like several copies, let us know.
We’d love to see the Guide pinned up on fridges and noticeboards throughout the community!
We’re grateful to legacy funding from Transition Ipswich, distributed by Oak Tree Community Farm, which has allowed us to continue this project.
