Another successful day at the Repair Cafe! What a wonderful atmosphere! We repaired numerous items ranging from sewing hems, soldering a lampshade spoke, repairing lamp switches, sewing bags….thanks to all our wonderful Repair Cafe volunteers! Well over 20 repairs were completed and as many people left happy in the knowledge that they have combatted waste, saved money (we only ask for a small donation towards costs) and done their bit for climate change.

Another exciting spin-off is that people visited from 2 other areas in Suffolk wanting advice on setting up a repair cafe. So its spreading, yay!

If you haven’t found us yet, we’re at St Johns Church on the first Monday of the month so see you on 4th November with your things to repair! Bring your electrics, leather, garments, and more, and enjoy coffee and cake and a warm, friendly atmosphere while your item is repaired.

St John’s Church, Castle Street, every first Monday of the month, 10 – 12.
The Hub Cafe is open every Monday 10 -12.

  1. I would love to talk with some one involved in running this – hope to trial one in Waldringfield in the new year.
