We recently received the following letter and were so please we just had to share!
Dear Transition Woodbridge
I thought you would be pleased to hear that your orchard project in Woodbridge has directly inspired the planting of an orchard in Shotley Gate.
Together with the advice of Transition Woodbridge and Paul Read a group of residents, known as the community orchard, have worked with Shotley parish council to clear land and plant 12 fruit trees. Our apples, pears, plums and cherries came all the way from flood hit Worcestershire but luckily we were able to plant them last Saturday the 22nd February in between extreme weather.
We hope our orchard will inspire others in our community to plant more fruit trees or scattered orchards.
