It’s that time of year again when we visit gardens around Suffolk to pick fruit that would otherwise go to waste. We’ve already harvested fruit from Otley, Newbourne, Clopton and, of course, from Woodbridge itself. This year’s crop has included

  • Apples
  • Plums
  • Greengages
  • Strawberries
  • Gooseberries
  • Raspberries
  • Pears
and the season isn’t over yet!
Once the fruit is picked we coordinate with local groups who provide lunches, food parcels and training locally who put it all to good use. The groups include
  • New Horizons
  • Stennetts – Langer Lunches
  • Salvation Army
  • St. Andrews Church
  • FIND (Families In Need)
  • Sheltered Housing
If you would like to help us pick fruit, or have fruit trees or bushes that you need help with, do get in touch at hello@transitionwoodbridge.org.uk.
