This impressive hedge laying exercise is part of Woodbridge Town Council regeneration project to increase biodiversity in the hedges on its sites. Creating a double hedge at Fen Meadow involved laying and infilling the existing hedge and planting a row of hedge saplings in front of it. These were obtained from the Woodland Trust. The hazel used for the bindings and stakes came from local residents and the brash and other dead wood was chipped to use as a mulch for the new hedgerow.
