SUMMARY:Wildlife Live Webinar - Wild Landscapes
DESCRIPTION:Join us as Nick Acheson guides us through the wild landscapes of East Anglia and the habitats they provide for wildlife. \nSuffolk Wildlife Trust’s webinars take place midweek evenings from 7pm via Zoom\, and can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. We cannot see nor hear any attendees\, so you can relax! But everyone is invited to ask questions via the Zoom Q&A panel at the end of the presentation. \nOn account of its huge range of soils and land-use history\, and its tremendous coastline\, East Anglia is among the UK’s most diverse regions for wildlife and wild habitats. Countless rare species have their national strongholds here and many are found nowhere else. In this fascinating online talk\, Nick documents the major habitats of East Anglia from the soil and water upwards\, through their characteristic vegetation to the animals that inhabit them. \nNick Acheson is a conservationist and naturalist who grew up in North Norfolk and\, following a ten-year stint in South America and work on every continent and ocean\, has retuned to his home county. He is an ambassador for Norfolk Wildlife Trust\, a trustee of Pensthorpe Conservation Trust and a patron of Felbeck Trust. His first book The Meaning of Geese won the East Anglian Book of the Year award 2023. \nFind out more and book.
