Helene Burningham is Professor of Physical Geography at University College London. She is an expert in coastal system dynamics and the drivers of shoreline change. Much of her research focuses on coastal behaviour in southeast England, where she has investigated the movement of offshore banks, nearshore shoals, and shoreline beaches over the last few centuries.
