A talk by Matt Wilson, National Trust Countryside Manager, Suffolk & Essex Coast.

Wednesday 30th April (doors open 7pm, proceedings start 7.30) Woodbridge Community Hall.

Matt will talk briefly about 130 years of the National Trust and its new strategy. Much of his talk will be devoted to some of his areas of responsibility, including

  • Sutton Hoo woodlands management
  • Heather at Dunwich
  • Grey Seals at Orford Ness
  • Salt Marsh preservation at Northey Island on the River Blackwater

Jeremy Young, local Hemley photographer, will also be there to show some of his current work.

Prior to Matt’s talk will be the brief AGM business of the River Deben Association including a first overview of responses to the recent ‘Leisure on the Deben Estuary Survey’ (450+ respondents!).
