Waldringfield Wildlife Group presents an illustrated talk by Sally Nelson and Dave Pearsons: BOSS: The Future of Barn Owls.

Sally is the project lead for Barn Owl Support Suffolk B.O.S.S, and Dave is a licensed monitor and ringer of Barn Owls.

Building on the inspirational achievements of the Sufolk Community Barn Owl Project founded in 2005, BOSS has been set up to preserve this proud legacy and the Barn Owl population for generations to come. The talk will focus on the future of Barn Owls in Sufolk and how through BOSS the community can further enhance their conservation. We will learn about the Barn Owl and their needs for survival, the licensed ringing and monitoring arrangements and the work involved in nest box installation.

  • Doors open at 10.45am for 11.00am start.
  • Admission: Non-members – £5, includes refreshments (cash payment preferred).
  • No charge for paid up members.
  • The talk is preceded by a members meeting at 10.00 am
