Beachwatch: Felixstowe

Join this beach clean to help us stop harmful litter from reaching the ocean and collect vital data that we can use to bring about positive change for our seas.

At a Beachwatch event volunteers clean and survey 100m of beach. The information is then sent to the Marine Conservation Society who collate and analyse the data, helping them to act in an effective, evidence-led way, to tackle the worst marine pollution offenders and lobby for changes in legislation. This has already led to positive legislative change with recent restrictions on the manufacture, sale and use of various single-use plastic items having been implemented in recent years.

Meet in the car park at Brackenbury Fort off Cliff Road, Felixstowe. All are welcome but registration is essential so we know who and how many to expect.
