A broom head, a length of carpet stay, cigarette butts, pontoon polystyrene, fishing and nylon rope was amongst the haul of our latest RiverClean in collaboration with 5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts on Sunday.
Over 30 people came to help, both on the town side of the river and, in the case of the sea scouts, by rowing over to the other bank to litter pick. Thanks to everyone who came and also to Jason of Rubbish Walks for recording the event!
By the way the sea scouts found lots of polystyrene so this has been reported to the Environment Agency who will try to find and eliminate the source of it.
Rubbish Walks Woodbridge do litter picks in Woodbridge last Sunday of every month from the Tea Hut, 10-12, so just turn up if you want to help. You can find the upcoming dates for the Rubbish Walk Woodbridge on our events page.
